A new music festival for the Cotswolds

A new music festival is coming to the Cotswolds taking place over the weekend of July 26-28 on a 200-acre site at South Cerney Airfield GL7 5RD.
Festival organiser, Oakley Hayward believes this is something that people have been waiting for. “Cotswold Fest can be the Cotswolds’ very own Glastonbury,” explained Oakley. “It will be a family-friendly festival with music and activities for all age groups to enjoy.”
As a Fairford businessman himself, Oakley is keen to support local. He said: “Cotswold Fest will be using local businesses, local bands and bands from further afield, local food and drink and promises to be a great place to promote your business and showcase your products and services.
“We are starting small this year with just one stage, but hope to get bigger and better every year,” continued Oakley. “As well as local bands, we have some bands from further afield that you probably won’t have seen before locally. Bands confirmed so far are The Faux Fighters, Jimmy Moore, Mirrored Faces, Joli and the Souls and Stephens DJ for Friday; Rock the 90s, Westrop School Choir, Mark Mulhern & Junkyard Troubadours, Shades of Silver, Busy Fools, Chasing Kites, Mellowmatic and DJ Mike Case for Saturday with Noasis, Lord Irving, Pink Mac and DJ Dex for Sunday.
Carmen Finn, one of the organisers helping Oakley said: “To organize and fund an event like Cotswold Fest has been a dream of Oakley’s for a while now and I am so excited to be involved with this new music festival, as I’ve had some experience helping to organize festivals in the past. I truly believe that Cotswold Fest has the potential to become a regular event and a family favourite for future summers.”
Cotswold Fest is the laid-back weekend of family fun in beautiful countryside with camping available and transport to and from the festival.
