New Wave Brasserie and fish markets

New Wave Brasserie, Lechlade

I have written about New Wave Brasserie, Lechlade and their seafood markets quite a few times. That is because they are a very proactive business in the heart of the Cotswolds with super-good customer service and delicious cooked and fresh food.

Here’s a bit more about them – offering free ‘nibbles’ throughout January 2026 right up to Valentine’s Day in February; their local market shop in Cirencester and their Friday Fish Market alongside the Brasserie in Lechlade every Friday.

New Wave Brasserie & Bar in Burford Street, Lechlade has earned several accolades since it opened in October 2022.

The popular Cotswold fish and seafood restaurant has held an AA Rosette since 2023; has also won Fairford & Lechlade Business Club’s Business of the Year 2023 award; was winner of the Cotswold Life Food and Drink Awards 2024; been included in The Good Food Guide’s 100 Best Local Restaurants 2025 and been shortlisted in several other awards with So Glos and The Cotswold Awards.

“Our restaurant has earned a loyal local following since we opened,” said Director Maisie Boyd. “We would love to show our appreciation by giving something back. That’s why we’re offering during the month of January right up until Valentine’s Day in February, an early-bird special where our customers can receive a free ‘nibble’ – just quote ‘NIBBLES’ when booking a table before 6pm.”

Head Chef, Nicos Arnold, at this award-winning, stylish seafood restaurant has a passion for classic seafood dishes using the freshest produce such as Shetland mussels and scallops as well as Cornish day-boat fish.

“We can also bring the same superb quality seafood to home cooks,” Maisie Boyd explained. “We have two New Wave traditional fish markets that offer fabulous fresh fish and seafood to create delicious dishes in your own home.”

In Cirencester, the New Wave Fish & Seafood Market has been a top destination for seafood lovers to purchase superb quality, responsibly-sourced seafood direct from the coast six days a week as well as cooked and prepared products such as fish pies or whole poached salmon. Adam Yeoh recently became the manager of the New Wave Fish Shop after working there for several years and earning his place as very knowledgeable about all aspects of fish, from sustainability to how to prepare and cook.

In Lechlade, the New Wave Fish & Seafood Market, run by food guru, Bob Parkinson, is open every Friday in the passageway alongside the Brasserie & Bar in Burford Street. The fish is landed or harvested – mostly in Cornwall, Devon and Scotland – and brought directly from Coast to Cotswolds for sale at the pop-up market from 8.30am on Friday morning.
