Tickets are now available for Fairford Festival’s Festival of Fiction 2022 – part of the larger Fairford Festival. Due to the pandemic, the popular Festival of Fiction has not been held for the past two years, but now offers a stellar line-up to appeal to literary lovers.
Famous authors at the event, which takes place on Saturday June 4, are:
Best-selling novelist and memoir writer Clover Stroud (‘The Red of My Blood’, ‘My Wild and Sleepless Nights’), interviewed by Fairford journalist Chris Roberts MBE.
Award-winning literary fantasist Geoff Ryman (‘253’, ‘Was’, ‘Air’) features in a career spanning interview with podcaster Sarah Miles.
Antony Johnston, writer of the computer game ‘Resident Evil: Village’, creator of ‘Atomic Blonde’ and thriller writer of ‘The Exphoria Code’ will be talking about his varied career and giving advice to writers.
Rachael Stott, comic book artist on ‘Fantastic Four’, ‘Supergirl’ and ‘Star Wars’ will be drawing live and giving away that art.
Steve Antony, children’s author and illustrator, best known for ‘The Queen’s Hat’ and ‘Chitty Chitty Bang Bang’ will be entertaining all children (and adults) who love books with pictures!
A ticket for the whole day costs £8 (plus booking fee, if purchased online) and gets you access to all the above and you can pop in and pop out as and when you like. Each author will be signing and selling books from bookseller Pea Green Boat Books. Children under 10 admitted free with a paying adult.
